Mob Rule… The Orville Got It Right..

NYC NEEDS THE POLICE

I like sci-fi shows as much as the next nerd. I am a fan of Seth MacFarlane; even though I don’t agree with his political views. That is fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However I can’t help see the similarity of what happened in the an episode of the Orville to what is happening all over the U.S. right now – some sort of Mob-Rule being imposed, which relies on popular opinion.

The Orville is a great show. It’s funny, pretty much a parody of sorts on shows like Star Trek; while being something completely different and having an identity of its own. But in true Hollywood fashion, it does tackle some difficult political issues – albeit it subtlety is pushing a liberalistic view on its audience – suggesting that it is the only rational, proper view point.

If someone is a liberal, that’s cool. Don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with that. But it is not the only view point. But why not give a balance? Show something good about the conservative views as well.

In the episode of the Orville (Season 1, episode 7) one of the characters was placed under arrest and had to make the online mob like him in order to be set free. If not successful, he would be lobotomized.

During the course of the show, the characters criticized the style of government they were witnessing; even likening it to a popularity contest like American Idol, etc. Now nowhere in the world is such a government in existence. Sounds scary right? But what if I told you that is almost a reality.  And if we don’t take care, it will be a reality.

Think about the way that politicians have been using social media and the mainstream media itself to sway the opinions of the people; enough to cause riots, destruction of property, national monuments, etc.

It has come to the point where most of the world is now ruled by the view of what is said on the Internet. Popular opinion is pretty much close to becoming the new law. And the Internet mob are its enforcers.  If you think differently, you need to be set straight. You have no opinions. Popular opinion is your opinion or none at all. If you have any other opinion, you are an outcast. People actually get offended by someone disagreeing with them; so much to the point of threatening violence. It has come to a point where there are those who feel that it is their right to be offended and somehow, someone should be held accountable for it – even no one did or said anything wrong in the first place.

This is what is happening right about now and seeing everything online, it makes me sick.

It seems to me that everyone on the internet right now cares what “the people” will think. Your online reputation matters more than who you are as a person. You could be a rapist, a drug addict, but convince the online world that you are a victim, and you will be hailed a hero for social justice. The truth does not matter. What matters is what the internet mob thinks. Those who control the mob, control the minds of the world.

And now such as overflowed into the streets of the world. In the article linked above, the writer speaks about being pressured into taking a knee to the BLM mob; whilst on camera to appease the mob’s audience. She actually did it out of fear. She was afraid of what would happen if she refused. Surely anyone who would not bow to their demands, would be harassed or may even lose their life; as so many have in the past couple of months.

Yes, people have been killed for disagreeing with the mob. They harass & attack innocent people under the false pretense of social justice, but in reality it is just bullying the world to bow to their opinion and will.

I am not a citizen of the U.S… Those of us on the outside used to look at the United States as a bastion of Freedom, but frankly, its not a free country anymore. The whole world is not free anymore. These days Political correctness has ruined our world. I have friends in the U.S. and it makes me worry about their safety. More so, it actually makes me sad to see them fooled and brainwashed by the media. They claim that by not being an American and not living there, I don’t understand racism or social injustice. Good men and women fooled and completely brainwashed to give a blind eye to the hypocrisy.

Looking at what is happening, nobody seems to care that there is more crime, more social injustice than before the mob started. You cannot even have a simple meal without being harassed to raise a fist up in support. If you don’t, you’re persecuted. If you are a white person, you are seen as a disease. So called “woke” white people are now talking about being ashamed of being born white.

The one thing I don’t understand is that in the Orville episode, they showed contempt and disgust to how backward such a thing is, but when it comes to real life, Hollywood hypocrisy knows no bounds. Celebrities accept and bow to popular opinion – pushing the narrative that is favored by the mob, encouraging the violence, the destruction, so long as it is not in their own neighborhood.

There are real victims in our world, but frankly no one really cares about them.. the girl that was raped by Jacob Blake, the pregnant woman held at gun point by George Floyd, the police officer that was killed protecting a business from looters, the business owners that showed support for the BLM, only to have their businesses still burned to the ground, children that were killed during the looting and the protests, etc., etc., etc…

Who speaks for those innocents?.. No one… The internet / social media / social justice mob do not care. They’re not effected, they are not the heroes of the narrative and popular opinion, therefore, they do not matter…
