In the book “The Art of War,” Sun Tzu says one weakness that leads to failure is having “A delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame.”
A sense of honor is a good thing, but it can be dangerous when the thought of shame leads to losing actions, such as entering a battle that can’t be won.
People pride themselves in being stubborn with their journey so much that they will continue fighting a losing battle just because they don’t want to admit that they chose a wrong path.
But Sun Tzu says to never make decisions based solely on the fear of people laughing at you.
Sometimes the path you’re on isn’t the path you’re supposed to be on.
Sometimes it’s a good idea to just step back and try a different path.
